Imagine it … 24,000 SF of sophisticated, view-drenched, and powerful taproom and production brewery space!

Metropolitan Brewing was created to be such an experience. Set like a jewel along the Chicago River, it is known for having one of the most pristine views – inside and out – of any brewery in the state. Taking the interior of this industrial facility to new heights was a project of Epic proportions, and the resulting taproom and production brewery reveals a phenomenal setting to behold. Metropolitan boasts a complete system, including all new fermentation cellars, boiler room, washrooms, storage rooms, brewhouse, walk-in coolers, and a very cool tasting room.

Aesthetics play a central role in this industrial-turned-accessible brewing universe. After all, it’s not just mechanics that make us humans fall in love with a place. New stairs with custom railings, lighting that has real character, details embedded in the doors, windows and hardware, decorative metal stud décor, and corrugated metal cloud ceilings covering the tap room. We even up-cycled the lumber from the 2nd floor removal into all of their new taproom tables and the bar top.
