With a special clarity and capacity to develop custom solutions for every project, Mike has a gift of doing all this while making it easy for his clients. Bringing his excellence of knowledge and industry expertise to the table, he believes just as strongly that relationships are a key to a successful collaboration. Rounding out every project with fruitful results, Mike enjoys working closely with all involved – business owners, teams, and design professionals. With over 40 years working in most aspects of the construction building industry, Mike has solid positioning to bring vetted expertise to your project. His time at Ruby Construction as Project Superintendent was of significant impact in his career, where he accomplished many high-profile commercial projects:

  • Renovation and addition of the Lincoln Park Zoo Lion House and Outdoor Habitat

  • O’Hare International Airport renovations, Terminal 2 additions

  • Conversion of the North Park Village Auditorium into a state-of-the-art gymnastics center

  • Work on numerous schools, fire stations, and libraries

In 1998, Mike’s entrepreneurial spirit was the catalyst for founding and incorporating Epic Builders, Inc. Merging his strong industry background with his real-world care for customers, his endeavors of creating excellence in the design / build world has been translated successfully over the years in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. The arc of successful projects that Epic has fulfilled includes luxury homes, consulting on commercial projects, historic renovations, and now a specialty focus over the last 10 years on brewpubs, restaurants, and breweries.

Daniel Siss

Project Manager

Graduating with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana – and a specialization in Construction Management – Daniel’s journey really came to life upon joining the team at Epic Builders in 2015.

Daniel’s role at Epic includes a proven track record of successfully managing the completion of an impressive range of commercial projects, including unique brewery, cidery, brewpub, deli, and restaurant build-outs. Most notably, he has thus far led or assisted on over 25 commercial construction projects, beginning with pre-construction, all the way through completion.

With his meticulous nature and ability to manage all phases with a long-range, comprehensive understanding, clients consistently receive the utmost order and success in the lifecycle of their project … and well beyond. There’s no doubt that Daniel’s strengths are numerous, not the least of which is his high level of proficiency in all managerial and administrative aspects, and the central importance he places upon working relentlessly on behalf of clients to fulfill and exceed their budgetary and timeline expectations.
