Production Brewery + Tasting Room

Building relationships with our clients means we often design and create multiple project phases together over time. Our collaboration with Alarmist Brewing is one such special evolution of two major phases so far.

Beginning with the build-out of an expansive 11,000 sq. ft. production brewery in 2014, Epic completely transformed this space through strategic planning, design, installation and building. Implementing everything from a new floor system with special drainage functionality, to a brand new 20-barrel brew house, 40 barrel fermenters, and large bright tanks … a complete and beautiful system was the result.

Continuing our work with Gary Gulley, owner of Alarmist Brewing, we entered the next phase in 2017 with solid enhancements: installation of a new ADA access lift, a brand new HVAC system, electrical, and most importantly the  design and build-out of a sparkling new tasting room to complement the production brewery, bringing in the human element of the experience. What better way to showcase just one of many exceptional craft beers they produce on-site using the brewing systems we installed? Their award-winning “Le Jus” craft beer is the * star * in this fabulous space, giving the stage to its gold-medal status from the Great American Beer Festival’s “Juicy or Hazy India Pal Ale” category. It doesn’t get any better than this!

SCOPE

• Demolition

• Specialty drainage system, new 20-barrel brew house, 40 barrel fermenters, bright tanks

• New metal railings, concrete foundations, 8” CMU walls and electrical for the lift

• New vestibule floor, relocate existing steel stairs

• ADA-compliant bathrooms and all finishing, plumbing, HVAC and electrical

• New RTU and exhaust fans, electrical and patching

• Firewall and fire exit door

• New storefront windows with fire shutters

• Removal and installation work throughout: windows, fire-rated glass block, retrimming, doors and hardware 

• Demolition and restoration of concrete floors, new urethane finishes
